Happy Birthday was mauled by a stray dog. Or a neighbor's dog. I don't care which. It doesn't matter. She didn't make it at the vets, this happened a while back. About a month. I didn't cry. I wasn't really attached to her. Today, I found out Gracie has feline leukemia. We have to put her down because apparently it's contagious. I feel kind of sad, because when she was a kitten, she would sleep in my lap while I computed things on the computer. I'd look down at her, lower my nose and she'd touch her nose on mine. I was scared for Oscar, because he could've caught it. He's been innocculated (I fucked that word up), but we'll have to test him again in six months just to be certain and we have to disinfect the house for safe measure. I can't lose him. Just not him. Please. |
